Patrick Wales-Dinan
Head Coach Track & Field / Cross Country
Patrick is in his 6th year coaching the Mustangs. He has been coaching at the high school or college level since 2006. He was previous the cross country / distance coach at Long Beach State and Harvard University. He was also an assistant coach at Duke University and Williams College. Patrick has coached over 20 NCAA All-Americans, multiple NCAA Champions and over 10 qualifiers to the US National Championships and Olympic Trials.
In 2022-23, Wales-Dinan led the Mustang girls to their first NCS Cross Country Championships since 2015. In 2023 the boys cross country team qualified for the state championships for the 3rd consecutive time and in 2022 they garnered a top-10 finish at the CIF State Championships. On the track the girls team captured the EBAL Championships and the team set 15 top 10 all time performances. Adam Wright finished 3rd in the state in the 110m hurdles and Cate Peters won the Mt. Sac Relays 800m title in a meet record time of 2:06.89.
